New Mini-Course: God in the Old Testament

God in the Old Testament

I teach both Old and New Testament at the university level and I cannot tell you how many people have said to me, “We don’t need to study the Old Testament, we are a New Testament church.”

That tells me they were never taught the fullness of the Old Testament. A recent student of mine said his pastor only taught from the Old Testament when he was yelling at the church from the pulpit and telling them God’s wrath was coming.

Wow.

Let me say a few things:

We would not know who Jesus was or what He came to do without the Old Testament.

Our redemption story has a beginning and a middle and that is found in the Old Testament.

God’s actual character and who He is revealed to us through the Old Testament.

Those laws that are so readily dismissed actually had a purpose and it was not to imprison the children of God.

The Old Testament not only matters to us today but should be the lens we use to read and understand the New Testament.

Knowing God through the Old Testament

One of the best books I have ever read on this subject is called Knowing God through the Old Testament. It’s just amazing. So amazing in fact, that I decided to teach a mini-course based upon this book.

Right now, you can check out Biblical Studies with Sarah Ann and click on the mini-course God in the Old Testament.

This course is being filmed LIVE each week and a new session will be added every Monday for the next five weeks. Get in on this journey and I promise, you will not regret it.

This book has transformed the way I see the Old Testament and I’m sure you’ll feel the same. Visit Biblical Studies with Sarah Ann and sign up today! Don’t worry, there’s a 30-day money-back guarantee too. 🙂
