“I Would Never Go to Church Again!”

The phrase, “I would never go to church again!” was exclaimed loudly by a friend of mine when I told her the story of how church leadership played a major role in tearing apart my first marriage. The funny thing is, that phrase took me by surprise as I had never considered not going to church again.

In today’s podcast, I talk about my personal story of being kicked out of a church and how church leadership directly impacted my marriage. I also talk about dealing with pastoral sin and how that impacts the believer or the church-goer. I talk about how I dealt with those things and why I have never considered leaving church. If you’ve been hurt, offended or have had a pastor/leader fall into sin, this podcast is for you.

This is real stuff here, folks.  This is my personal church journey and it’s messy, bumpy and all of the things-but, it also gives you a glimpse into the body of Christ-broken yet redeemed. I pray it gives you hope not something to gossip about. The church isn’t perfect neither is the leadership and that’s ok, that’s why Christ came. So, how do you handle it? Well, it’s not easy but I’ll tell you how I did, just listen to the podcast.

If you know someone struggling with these things, please be sure to pass it along.
