Hate is not worth it.

A Scripture a Day: John 13:34

Hate is not worth it.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34

As a child the thought of “loving one another” seemed rather simple, as an adult, it quickly became complicated. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we all followed this commandment? Heck, could you imagine what your office would be like if everyone followed this commandment?

Hate only leads to more hate, even worse, it spreads around easily like a virus infecting anyone who gets close. The only way to kill hate is to replace it with love.

We have to make a conscious decision every single day to love one another, that doesn’t mean you become a doormat but it does mean that you keep hate out of your heart. If you open even the smallest door to hate, it will consume you, be aware and don’t give hate a chance.
