“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13
I remember saying this verse out loud all the way through high school. I had to really push myself every single day to go to school with a smile. I went to a large school packed with other kids and all I could think about was getting out. I remember spending those last two years just reciting this verse over and over again and purposely seeking the goodness of the Lord everyday.
Some people think the “land of the living” is in reference to heaven and that makes sense. But, I also think it’s in reference to this life, I believe we can, will and do see the goodness of the Lord right now in our own lives. I also believe that means we have to look for the good and seek it then, we can recognize the goodness of the Lord even in the worst of circumstances.
As you go through your day today, keep your eyes open, expect blessings and look for the goodness of the Lord.
