“Depart from evil and do good; seek, inquire for, and crave peace and pursue (go after) it!” Psalm 34:14 (AMP)
I love the amplified version of that verse, “inquire for, and crave peace and pursue it!” That doesn’t mean you give up or roll over, but it does mean you’re not seeking after strife.
It also means that you purposefully depart from evil and do good, don’t get caught in the drama. Can you imagine what life would be like if everyone sought peace? That is what the last 30 Days to Peace series has been about, a purposeful pursuit of peace. It shouldn’t last just 30 days though, this is a lifelong commitment.
The thing about God is, we always have a part to play and this scripture confirms that. Want peace in your life? God says, “Go after it!”
Don’t just sit around complaining about not having any peace, don’t just post on facebook about it, get out there and do something! “Seek peace, inquire for and CRAVE peace and pursue (go after) it!”
